Chef City Equipment Corporation makes every effort to ensure customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with the on-line purchase, we will refund or exchange the product. Regularly stocked items may be returned within 14 days of the receipt date and will incur a restocking fee of 25% or more depending on the value of the item.
Non-defective merchandise that has been special ordered or custom ordered are non-returnable/non-refundable.
Requirements for Exchanges and Returns
Prior to returning merchandise, please contact Chef City Equipment Corp at 914-448-8080 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) Number.
Chef City Equipment Corp will only accept returned merchandise that is in it’s original condition (unused, unwashed and is placed in it’s original packaging with all accessories).
Returned merchandise must be accompanied by it’s original receipt or a record of purchase from our Website.
Upon our acceptance of the returned merchandise in conformity with our return policy requirements, the purchase price will be refunded based on the original method of payment.
If returning in-store and the original purchase was over $50.00 and paid with cash, a refund check will be issued and mailed to you. If a credit card was used, a credit will be processed to that same card. Please allow 14 days from the date your item(s) was returned and received by Chef City Equipment Corp. Individual Bank Policies will dictate when this amount is posted to your account.
Items returned after 14 days or without the original sales receipt will receive a store credit providing all return policy requirements are met.
Shipping charges for returns is the customer’s responsibility. International returns will incur additional fees which will be applied upon completion of the return.
Deposits for orders are non-refundable.
Fees and Additional Charges
Non-defective products returned for exchange or refund are subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee if returned opened or in a non-factory sealed box. Products returned in new and unopened condition will receive a full refund, less shipping charges.
Additional charges may be assessed for products returned with any missing or broken items such as manuals and/or accessories. For products that we verify to be defective, we will reimburse you for your original shipping expense on the product that you return for a refund. For products determined not to be defective or having been used in a manner against the manufacturer’s recommendations or outside of normal use, no credit will be issued, and the item may be returned to you at your cost.
Orders Damaged in Shipping
While every effort is made in packing and correctly filling your order, occasions will arise where a package is lost or damaged in transit. To ensure your order is received complete and undamaged, we recommend the following order check-in procedure:
Accepting Packages from Shipper
1) Verify the number of packages delivered with the packing slip provided by Chef City Equipment Corporation
2) Please inspect the entire shipment for visible exterior damage prior to accepting the shipment.
3) Note any damage on the delivery ticket/bill of lading before the delivery person leaves and contact Chef City Equipment Corp for further instructions. Please have your order number, shipping information, and tracking number ready to assist us in this process.
4) Unpack your order immediately and inspect for hidden or concealed damage, especially if you don’t plan on using the item right away.
5) Should any damage be discovered, retain the shipping carton and any inner packaging. Hidden or concealed damage must be reported to Chef City Equipment Corporation within 5 days of delivery. Please have your order number, shipping information, and tracking number ready to assist us in this process.
Please note: If your merchandise is damaged in any way and you did not note it on the delivery receipt, we cannot guarantee compensation for damages.
Packages left at your doorstep:
1) Make sure you inspect the exterior of the carton(s)
2) Note any large dents or tears on your packing slip (invoice).
3) Verify the number of packages delivered with the packing slip provided by Chef City Equipment Corporation.
Follow steps 4 and 5 noted above.
Chef City Equipment Corporation is not responsible for damaged items accepted and signed for at the time of delivery. Chef City Equipment Corporation will arrange for return shipping for an item that was sent to you in error, received defective, or damaged in shipping (assuming the criteria for the order check-in procedure outlined above has been reasonably met).
Round trip shipping charges will be the responsibility of the customer on orders that are shipped by Chef City Equipment Corporation in good faith and are returned to us due to incorrect shipping information.
Charges related to shipping, delivery, and/or installation are nonrefundable after the services have been performed.
All shipping and insurance costs of the original order, the returned item(s), and any exchanged item(s), are the responsibility of the customer in all cases unless Chef City Equipment Corporation committed a shipping or order error. If you choose not to insure your package, and we do not accept return of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage.
In cases where a product is claimed to be defective or has been shipped in error, Chef City Equipment Corporation will arrange for return shipping. Contact customer service for assistance.
In the event that Chef City Equipment Corporation pays the shipping charges for a product that has been reported defective and determines that the product is non-defective and in proper working order, shipping charges will be deducted from the credited amount for that item.
